Plastonix Issues Global Tender for Proprietary Plastic Blending Systems

Tender No. PLX-TDR-2026-001

Toronto, April 9, 2026

Plastonix Inc. has issued a global tender inviting qualified OEM equipment manufacturers to participate in the design and build of proprietary plastic blending systems. These systems enable the controlled interaction of Transformix™ with heterogeneous petroleum-derived materials under defined operating conditions and form a critical component of initial system deployments and demonstration-scale validation.

This initiative represents a funded, commissioned engagement focused on accelerating the transition from laboratory validation to real-world system deployment. Plastonix is seeking manufacturers capable of developing industrial equipment that performs reliably under variable feedstock conditions and supports repeatable operation at commercial scale.

What Is Being Commissioned

Plastonix is commissioning the development of a purpose-built plastic blending system designed specifically for its process architecture.

The system must:

  • Combine Transformix™ with heterogeneous petroleum-derived material feedstock, including mixed and difficult-to-process plastics
  • Operate under controlled thermal and/or mechanical conditions
  • Enable aggregation and stabilization through controlled material interaction to form a unified material system
  • Produce PX42™ as an intermediate material output
  • Support repeatable, stable operation across varying feedstock conditions and deployment configurations

This is not recycling, extrusion, or compounding equipment. The required plastic blending system does not exist in the current market and must be purpose-built for this application. Existing systems are not capable of achieving the controlled material interaction required under defined operating conditions.

The system must be designed around defined operating conditions that govern material interaction, rather than mechanical configuration alone.

The scope of this tender is limited strictly to the blending system and does not include full facility design or downstream processing systems. The system is expected to be integrated into broader processing environments within partner operations.

Process Context

The Plastonix process is designed to aggregate and stabilize mixed and difficult-to-process plastics (a subset of petroleum-derived materials) into usable industrial inputs. At the center of the system is Transformix™, a proprietary, bio-based processing agent that serves as a required processing input within all Plastonix deployment configurations. Readers seeking additional technical detail on how Transformix™ enables controlled material interaction can refer to the Plastonix Technology page.

The Plastonix process produces PX42™, a class of materials that function as an intermediate input. PX42 is not a standardized material; its characteristics vary based on feedstock composition and processing conditions, requiring system designs that can accommodate variability in material behavior. System performance depends on maintaining defined operating conditions that govern how materials interact during processing, and these conditions must be embedded within equipment design to ensure consistent and repeatable outcomes.

Commercial Context & Deployment Model

This tender forms part of Plastonix’s partner-led deployment strategy, where systems are deployed within partner operations rather than owned or operated centrally. Plastonix does not operate processing facilities and instead enables partners to deploy systems within their own operations.

This model is designed to support repeat system deployment across multiple partners, feedstocks, and industrial applications, with the expectation of ongoing equipment development and supply as deployments scale.

Selected OEM manufacturers will participate in a staged development process, including concept design, engineering validation, and system fabrication, supporting initial system deployments, demonstration-scale validation, and initial commercial system rollout. Plastonix is advancing a non-exclusive.

OEM Participation

Plastonix is seeking manufacturers with demonstrated capability in:

  • Custom industrial equipment design
  • Material handling and processing systems
  • Thermal and/or mechanical processing
  • First-of-kind system development
  • Ongoing system support and the ability to scale production for repeat deployments

Experience in industrial mixing, compounding, or related systems is relevant, but the required system represents a first-of-kind engineering challenge and cannot be derived from modification of existing equipment platforms. The system will require purpose-built engineering aligned with Plastonix process requirements and the ability to transition from initial system development to scaled production.

Submission & Screening Process

Qualified manufacturers are invited to express interest through the Plastonix website.

To submit interest:

  1. Submit via the Plastonix website intake form
  2. Select “Other” and reference: Tender No. PLX-TDR-2026-001
  3. Provide a company and capability overview, including demonstrated experience, and clear capability and willingness to support deployed systems and scale manufacturing for repeat system production

Applications for this tender will be accepted for a period of 60 days from the date of publication. Plastonix reserves the right to close, extend, or reissue the tender based on response and evaluation outcomes.

Submissions are reviewed internally as part of Plastonix’s screening process.

Selected respondents will:

  • Enter a formal screening process
  • Execute a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA)
  • Receive the full Tender document and technical scope

This staged approach ensures that detailed technical and process information is shared only with qualified participants.

Executive Commentary

“Plastic waste has long been treated as a disposal problem—but it is, in reality, an underutilized industrial resource,” said Roland Kielbasiewicz, CEO of Plastonix Inc.

“Our objective is to enable systems that aggregate and stabilize heterogeneous petroleum-derived materials into usable inputs at scale. This requires equipment designed around how materials behave under real operating conditions, not how they are assumed to behave in theory.”
